Deacon Dominic was born in Barrington, RI and grew up in there. He attended Barrington schools and then graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. In 1960 he married Doris Rose and has been her soul mate to this date. He is blessed with a daughter and a son. Presently, he is the grandfather of five grandchildren.

Most of his working career (almost 34 years) was spent working for the Navy at the Newport Naval Base where he worked on the design of underwater vehicles. He did have a prestigious assignment when he was chosen to be the science advisor to the Pacific submarine force in the 1980s’.

He was ordained a Permanent Deacon on June 23, 1979. His initial ministries included being chaplain at several nursing homes which included the Veterans home in Bristol, RI. He then became involved in parish ministry at Holy Angels church in Barrington, Our Lady of Loreto in East Providence, St Brendan in Riverside and now at St Martha Church in East Providence.

His main contributions as a deacon have been in ministering to those in nursing homes, performing baptisms, preparing candidates to receive the three sacraments of full initiation (baptism, Eucharist and confirmation) into the church, adult education, celebrating Holy Hours which includes Benediction, preaching and assisting at Mass.
